Job Description: Joinery Procurement Officer
- Execute and follow strategic procurement function tasks of sourcing and buying goods and/or services of the organization.
- Facilitate budget section for preparing the bids by providing the information including rate of material, equipment, subcontractors and others as per requirements.
- Strictly adhere to the purchasing policy and plan of the organization.
- Provide and maintain the purchasing information and systems, and review commodity strategy with the manager.
- Negotiate with local and international suppliers; prepare price comparisons, cost saving budgeting and targeting, credit terms etc.
- Coordinate with project managers and production for their demands and requirements (Material Requisition/MR) for the material and processing it with the required approval.
- Support in the follow up with suppliers on the receipt of required materials in a timely manner and ensure on time delivery of procured products/services.
- Verify and quality check that procured goods and/or services are up to desired standards.
- Develop the existing and potential supplier pool and update the approved vendor list.
- Search for new potential suppliers, develop and set up a supplier database ensuring technical and financial negotiation with all suppliers and subcontractors.
- Conduct market research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality.
- Proactively liaise with other departments as necessary to forecast, plan to meet purchase deadline, to bundling of demands for necessary.
- Keep a constant check on stock levels to aid development of the purchasing strategy.
- Produce reports and statistics for line managers and for business meetings.
Must Have:
- UAE drivers license
- 2-3 years of bespoke/custom joinery purchase
