Role Overview:
We are looking for a talented and creative 3D Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in 3D modeling and rendering, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating visually stunning fixtures for luxury retail projects.

Key Responsibilities

Setter Out - Joinery

  • Generate methodical, unit-wise cut lists & material requisitions, considering a high-quality appearance (look and feel), speed of assembly (Assembly method), accuracy and material waste. 
  • Identify and describe each unit and separate components by numbering. 
  • Design the cut list format in Excel or AutoCAD
  • Contribute in atomizing the cut list master sheet will be a future development we need to consider, and can be worked on, when there are no new projects, and the current projects are error-free. 
  • Preparing cut list for all kinds of furniture items as per actual site measurement and detail of shop drawings (Materials include Joinery, Painting, Metal, Acrylic, Print, Electrical and others)
  • Verifying the quantity of raw material, technical details and fabrication drawing.

  • Raise an early flag and communicate about any variations or amendments to the shop drawing plans
  • Proactively negotiate with the Estimation team if any discrepancies in BOQ or material specification

  • Plan schedules and forecasts for cutting lists issuance to production and regular coordination with production activities & project department up to project completion, checking materials allowed details and obtaining clearance for variations

  • Make recommendations for the reduction of wastage of materials during cut list generating and keep track of changes or variations during production

Purpose of the Role

In this role, you'll prepare detailed technical and production drawings within the agreed timelines and quality expectations. You'll work with team members to ensure completeness and adherence to standards. Your role also involves ensuring client expectations and production feasibility are achieved for successful project completion.

 

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

Design Accuracy and Drafting Precision

  • Prepare client submission drawings in compliance with brand guidelines
  • Create cutting lines (cutting list) for joinery and metal components
  • Prepare material take-offs for joinery, metal, acrylic, special materials and packing
  • Value engineer to reduce quantities of regular materials

Design Turnaround Time

  • Prepare and submit detailed production drawings, cutting lines, and material take-offs within the assigned timelines
  • Share with relative stakeholders the drawing revisions within the assigned timeline
  • Work on multiple projects at the same time

Clear and timely communications with Clients and Production

  • Capture clear briefs from the stakeholders and resolve all technical issues
  • RFI to be shared with clients after briefing (First submission/ Revisions)
  • Proactively communicate with internal stakeholders and clients on project updates

Mentoring and team-leading

  • Manage at 2-3 designers and train the technical designer
  • Act as the lead in the absence of the team manager
  • Coach and mentor new joiners in the team
